Greetings! I am an indie game developer whose been developing games (mostly prototypes) in Godot!
I love coming up with fun game ideas, designing them, and building prototypes, but careful planning, implementation, and testing is a lot of work for a one-man army, so I like to share my progress and games with you here!
I've been largely self-taught in game development for a few years now. I've always had an interest in building video games with unique concepts, ideas, and worlds, and it has been an absolute blast!
But video games are a complex art - from basic gameplay and function, to storytelling and world-building, to presentation and atmosphere. It takes a lot of work, and sometimes, it is full of dead ends.
Since I've started, I've been on a long journey of evolution and learning across several projects, trying and failing to complete a "full experience" that someone can enjoy. That's because I see it as a "rite of passage" for every indie developer to complete at least one game.
I'm still going, and learning so much about programming, assets, marketing, collaboration, and more in the process. If you're interested, I would love to share what I have to offer right here.
While I am working a full time job to pay the bills, I've still been on my goal to complete my 'rite of passage' as an aspiring indie game developer - to complete and sell a game commercially on Itch and Steam. Since the start of the year, I've been working on a brand new project that has been showing promise. I don't want to disclose too much yet, but you can catch a sneak peek here.
I would like to share more about the project via devlogs or YouTube, but setting those up would require more resources and studying, especially time away from the project itself (I REALLY love coding things!), so it might be awhile before then...
In the meantime, I've also been looking to share some of my older game prototypes I've worked on in the past; games I haven't gotten around to finishing (yet) for one reason or another. I delve more into why in each one, but I would love to dive back into (most) any of these projects if fans are interested in the future.
Anyways, I'm off to work on my brand new project! Check out the games I've made (and collaborated on) at the bottom!
Thanks for stopping by!
